Aldwych to re-open!

It has been revealed that London Underground are thinking of converting Aldwych abandoned underground station into a themed ride, with an Underground theme! Two locations were considered - the abandoned Jubilee platform area in Charing Cross and Aldwych. Plans as to what sort of ride was being created using the station have been kept quiet up until now, but I can exclusively reveal some secret photographs taken recently by engineers building the rides show that the platform area and tunnels at Aldwych are being turned into a roller coaster!




Various train designs were being tested on the Charing Cross platforms earlier this year, but the line was deemed to be too straight and not much fun to ride.



It was decided that Aldwych was to be the station to receive the face-lift as the platform curve would give plenty of adrenaline force and the girder that passes through the station, when passed at speed, would look really scary.

As is shown in one of the pictures, the ride has actually been tested with people aboard the trains. One rider described the ride as "Exhilarating", while another stated that "the ride gave plenty of air-time - especially in the over-run tunnel!".

Construction has already begun on the obligatory shop that riders will pass through at the end of the ride and it is believed that the ride will open early April next year.
